Its sunny again ...

Autumn though is expected to arrive shortly ...

The barometer has been dropping alarmingly over the last 24 hours. Outside though its a stunning glorious day here on the rock.

The weather forecast for the next few days is for rain, its much needed. In fact the forecast for the weekend looks interesting - Is that 'Hurricane Gonzalo' heading our way ?

Now the olive press is open for business, the rain will make olive picking much more a laborious process. Lets hope the forecast is wrong for all involved. Heavy dew on grass this morning, and wood supplies being delivered to houses around the town.

Its the name day of Dimitra and Dimitrios, on the 26th October. This is the day you are supposed to light your woodburner - If you are Greek ...

Its a popular name day as there are many Dimitra and Dimitrios, They like to keep warm, so expect the first smog of the season then - weather permitting ...

Later update:

Noble English blood, has been deposited in the Greek blood bank ...

Good to see some island Brits paying in too ...
