Apparently ...

... the pigs bladder game did not go as planned last night.

Wonder what will happen to all those redundant football shirts next week.

There were a few bleary eyes and sore heads around this morning. Not all bleary eyed from football, but also from 'Goodbyes to the rock' ...

Last nights brief sojourn with Mr & Mrs Stig, was followed by a 02:15am phone call, from Philippos. Much as I like our Phil, talking to him, after he has been on the tsipouro at 02:15am is not top of the list.

Back at work this morning to meet the bundle of fun - The 'Giggle sisters' from somewhere 'up north' called Durham. I think I went through there on a train once. I have met these young ladies twice, and they were great fun on both occasions.

You know who you are, and hope 'Posh Emma' gets her accent back soon ...

Later I spent time helping to mend a Greek friends 'broken heart' He (lets call him 'Bobo') finally having realised that his 'Shirley Valentine' routine, had crashed and burned, long ago ...

Farewell to Lutz from Munich Germany, and his lovely wife. It was a lot of fun these last two weeks.

This evening some Romanian gentlemen tried to introduce me to Pálinka which is a plum liqueur. Its made by the same process as tsipouro, but made from plums rather than grapes. All I could think of was 'I had to drive' and if I joined the fun, then it would be a great night, followed by the 'Palinka Palinka fizz' of something like resolve in the morning ...

Amazing colours in tonights sunset, which illuminated the shower clouds over the Pelion ...

Happy midsummer to the Scandanavian friends, celebrating their mid summer festival here tonight, before flying home tomorrow - to do it all again ...

  1. Durham is a beautiful city Ian - our daughter did her post grad degree there and still lives just a few miles away 12 years on - a lovely part of the country! Though it is of course NOT Skiathos!

    1. Durham - Yes, apart from the Giggle sisters, I understand the Pink Panther comes from there ...
