Quackers ...

Well we had a thunderstorm last night, and plenty of rain ...

So April 7th, and I'm still cutting up wood for the fire. Looks like a damp week ahead. However the storms cleared though the islands this morning. The clouds appear to be rising, and the sun has been doing its best to break through. We were drying out nicely, but there is still rain in the air  ...

Never work with children or animals someone once said ...

Well I do both, and it can sometimes go a little off the wall. A TA thread is currently debating the best place for Glamour photography on the beaches. Well I can claim the first photo of 'two white birds on the beach for 2014'

I took the photo below yesterday, and as always you get some interesting feedback from friends ...

Quack - Quack ...
One friend said -  'Is that the 2 that come round on Ag P beach' ?

Well I haven't got a clue, how do you tell one white duck from another. Do they have any distinguishing marks ?

So I nipped back to check, for an exclusive interview ...

They were a bit put out to be honest, they said 'they never work the beaches in summer, as they are local ducks, and cannot get the right licence' - However hard they try.

The ones from AP are 'seasonal ducks from the mainland. They come here in May, and work the beaches, giving the Skiathos ducks a bad name' and the authorities turn a blind eye ...

Apparently the ducks from AP, are Chinese. They offer a sub standard service, and baste with herbs and spices, in full sun, not orange sauce, which the 'Skiathos Ducks' say is much better ...

You heard it here first ...

  2. Puh, before reading the rest below the photo, I was afraid you were going to make jokes about the two early, white birds getting an all over tan during summer.

    1. Dear Deeply concerned of Norway. As a liberal, I find your silence on the TA topic, somewhat alarming ...
