Aegean Flying Dolphins - 'Are go' ...

Well it reminds me of something from Thunderbirds ...

Flying Dolphin Erato seems set to commence its service on Friday 4th April as planned ...

The timetable is up and running on the Aegean Flying Dolphin web site.
Tickets to Aghios Konstantinos or Volos are €32.50 single, and €55 return ...

Reported by Skiathos News, There has been a few problems with ticket agencies taking their business, due to the competition on the routes ...

Flying Dolphin Erato is tucked up in AK overnight, having moved up from Piraeus (On a strike day) on Wednesday afternoon ...

Watch this space for further developments ...

9am Update: Ferry strike over at 6am. Apollon Hellas departing from Volos shortly, for the islands. Its full to the brim with trucks, and cars. In addition my on-board ferry co-respondent advises that my friends and neighbours, the 'House of Koziakis' are on board. That means our best grill house in town, will be open very shortly ...

12Noon: Chaos in the ferry port as the Apollon Hellas arrives. They open the doors and its full to the brim. Hardly surprising after three days in port. It took quite a while to shuffle trucks and vans before they could unload, both the human and vehicular cargo's.

13:30pm Flying Dolphin Erato departed AK for Alonnisos this morning. Only its turned round and returned to AK. Has the dreaded 'Sporades curse of the Flying Dolphin' struck us once again ...

15:25pm Flying Dolphin Erato has just departed AK for Alonissos again. lets hope the man with the spanners has done his job well ...

19:00pm Flying Dolphin Erato, has arrived and is berthed in Patitiri Alonnisos overnight. So all systems go for tomorrow morning ... ?
