Good Morning Cape Town (2) ...

These are for you ...

As promised, an assortment of views, of the snowcapped Mount Dirphys on Evia. Wednesday afternoon, between 16:00hrs and 17:00hrs ...







Yes the sea really was that colour. The heat haze cleared, to reveal that last weeks bad weather, had put the icing on the top of the Evian cake. Following which 'The Skiathian' returned to his sick bed.

Not sure what it will be like this morning though, it's been blowing a Gale overnight ...

OK it started out Blue, but the grey stuff has arrived ...

For those who have had a sleepless night, here is the reason why - Its been (Force 6) 45kph winds, currently (Force 5) outside ...


For island bird lovers, the twitchers, not the tweeters - our island friend of the blog, 'Jayne' advises, that she saw the first swallows of summer, yesterday morning.

'One swallow does not make a summer' but Jayne reports she has now seen six. We all now await the screech over the rooftops, as more of our aerobatic feathered friends, fly in from down south.

After the migrating birds, the migrating Brits have also started to appear. Returning to the island, getting settled in their nests, returning to old haunts, and ready for summer on the rock. One Greek islander, has returned from Norway too - Summer is coming - Its official ...
