Ferry Strike ...

Today's activities are curtailed by a Ferry strike, there will be another tomorrow as well ...

No Ferry means our school teacher is stuck in Volos, until later this afternoon, when the Flying Cat returns.

Yes, Its confusing, but our Flying cat is a local crew so seldom affected by strikes, the ferries are now all Piraeus based crews, so now we join the strikes, whereas when we had the Express Skiathos, and a local crew normally they did not ...

However this morning, the chainsaw was in action, and the Bougainvillea's have been 'terminated' As my father said many years ago, give a non performing rose bush a severe haircut, if it does not perform the following year, then compost it.

I have had plenty of growth but minimal flowers, mainly on adjoining properties or at roof level. Last year they picked up a fungus like infection.

This year I have cut out the middle man. The cats will have to find another littering point, the neighbours will no longer be able to move the plastic protection, to give them a scratching post.

Some trusty Pelion stone, sits where the Bouganvillia once stood.

As Monty Python once said, 'and now for something completely different, and hopefully a little more fragrant ...
