Wake up the neighbours ...

With the sound of the chainsaw in action ...

Still ploughing our way through the wood stockpile. Some of it really quite large, so needed some work to make it more manageable. First the chainsaw needed a 'birthday' some fresh fuel and oil, and its teeth sharpened. So one trip across town, on a 'chilly morning' later, once this was done we were ready to go.

An hour this morning, creating sawdust, and we have another nice pile of firewood. In addition we met just about everyone from the street, and the nearby alleys. They found an excuse to come out of darkened rooms to see what was going on.

Have you got a 'Jaki' (Open fire) if you answer yes, they will say you are cutting it too short.
Have you got a 'Soba' (Woodburner) answer yes, you get an appreciative nod. Answer No, they will say you are cutting it too long.

Say yes to both, and the look of confusion is something to see ...

From the remnants of the last two deliveries, which I have now sawn up. Then along with some larger pieces that are left over, I should still have around another months supply of firewood.

One bag of sawdust, and with another neighbour, overseeing me stacking the wood correctly indoors - It was done - I had a bit of sweat on too ...
