Its been a lovely day ...

The best day of the year so far ...

Up to Taxiacharis this afternoon, a great stress reliever. Water store topped with 98 litres of fresh water, from the spring. Quite a friendly place, as there were a few of us up there filling bottles. Mrs Socks and her daughter, and Aris from the tool shop.

Someone has left an icon next to the spring, a saint painted on a roof tile. Looking down on us all collecting water from the spring source below. Perhaps giving us good fortune too ...

Skopelos was veiled in a thin layer of cloud, almost like a layer of fog. This cleared slowly to give a lovely view across the island. Later the milky low cloud in the skies, on the horizon turned a watercolour pink, and the sea a silvery blue. The stillness reflecting every ripple, as the flying cat departed for Skopelos.

Mount Dirphys, over on Evia was poking its head above a layer of cloud, with what appears to be a layer of snow on top. The hills mauve in the afternoon sunlight.

On the way down, there was a shepherd sitting by the side of the road, near Villa Dafni. His goats wandering in the road, and up and down the embankment. The young goats springing up in the air and onto the bank as I passed by.

The fishing boat 12 Apostles, had arrived and quite a commotion, as the catch was landed. Later the locals walking back from the fish market with the catch of the day for supper ...
