Grey now - Rain later ...

Good morning from a rather grey Skiathos.

Grey all over ...
Rain on the way, a little later it seems ..

Friends advised yesterday that from up at Taxiacharis, you could see the the Halkidiki peninsular very clearly, and Mount Athos too. This traditionally is a sign of bad weather, and the next few days don't look all that great.

This is the view across to Evia this morning, Mount Dirphys has hardly any snow on top, after our recent warm spell. However that may change shortly.

Dirphys in the centre ...
The weather forecast was confirmed to me by Teo, one of the characters of the village. A former Merchant navy officer, we were chatting earlier, and he forecasts rain this evening. This from the pain he feels in his back and bones. Must admit the site of my once broken leg, and the brittle bones in my feet seem to say the same.

Umbrellas and wellies, are all ready, by the door ...

16:12pm: Its raining - relief at last for the dustbin, from the local cats ...
