Ioannis bakes ...

A selection of Olive bread ...

A loaf baked in a tin ...
The pave ...
Tasting time ...
Now the problem is, that its disappearing as fast as I can make it. Its like we have a mouse in the house, only this one uses the bread knife, rather than nibbling away at the end of the loaf ...

This bread is moist and with a firm crust, and could have done with more olives. Its destined to be enjoyed with cassolet, a little later this evening.

I also have an idea what bread, to make for the next one too - Feeling adventurous ...

16:00hrs: Just in from a sprint back from school. Thunder booms out across the island, as dark skies deposit a sprinkling of rain upon us. A large band of thunderstorms passing through the Peleponesse, and Corinth this afternoon. Looking forward to that cassolet and perhaps a glass of red as a treat ...

  1. Your photos reminded me of a meal we had in the Mesostrato Taverna in AP and the fact that I had not done the reviews. I've just posted 4 reviews of the places that we ate in. Feeling hungry now after the photos, thinking about the meals we had on holiday and the fact that my wife is making Christmas chutney and pickling some onions.

    1. Ah Good - feeding the eyes - That must be a positive. Christmas chutney sounds lovely. There is a lady here on the island makes lovely chutney, have been trying to bump into her for months :) ...
