Great ideas ...

You can easily fall in love on a day like today - There is nothing like lovely blue skies, and the autumn greek sun to put the spring, back in your step …

Oh well better stay indoors at home then ...

Only I had finished reading a book earlier this morning - That's two this autumn already ...

So instead, spent a very enjoyable few hours on the old harbour, where the sea was blue and twinkling where the sun was reflecting off distant ripples towards distant Evia. The hills over there looking indigo blue in the apparent heat haze. A few yachts bobbing around offshore in airless conditions, their crews probably taking in our view, through a chilled glass of wine ...

I had been mending the brakes on juniors bike, this morning and it needed to be 'paralia tested' so as just reward for my efforts, we went out for a coffee. Junior put the bike through its paces in church square, then disappeared at high speed in the direction of the play area. Only to return the other way later, and perform a stop that grazed arms and knees. Brakes worked fine, if perhaps a little too well - just need to get used to them ...

We waited a very long time to get served at our favourite coffee shop. So rather than go in and order a take away, I reminded SWMBO that two coffees in the morning were not always a good idea. Especially as SWMBO had been out for a coffee morning with friends a little earlier, whilst I had been mending the bike on the kitchen table.

Much to my surprise, the suggestion to go next door instead, went down very well. Something on the TV in the coffee shop, clearly meant a very restricted service. After a busy summer who can blame them - 'siga siga'

A couple of tsipouros, some marinated gavros in lemon and oil, the lovely oven baked codfish, with tomatoes and peppers, and tunafish with a crabstick salad. That with a skin burning sit in the sun on legs that were back in shorts.

I wish that I always had great ideas like that ...
