No time ...

To do anything it seems ...

Its been an off and on kind of day, windy threatening rain and dark clouds mixed with sunshine. The school runs undertaken in fine rain in the breeze. Junior has a poem to learn for Oxi day, that is proving fun to try to learn.

A trip to the post office, as usual resulting in disappointment as the package is still in transit. Caught up on the comings and goings, mainly goings as people give up island life and head back north of the alps.

I made a meat loaf last night, and followed the Greek principle, that cooked meat dishes, taste better the following day. Pleased to say we were not disappointed, and had it for lunch. A glass of a medium sweet red, not to my taste but certainly to SWMBO's who rather likes that kind of wine.

Scanned a trashy novel left behind by a holiday maker, its tatty and very frayed round the edges and clearly seen a lot of life - Just like the girl in the book. It will like the heroine have a second awakening - This one as hot as the first - only in the woodburner later this year ...

Time waits for no-one ...
After a slow scan of the back of the eyelids, that went on for far too long, tonight I have spent a few hours looking at a photograph site. Amazing photos, of architecture, fashion, nature, food etc that seem to have been shared on 'tumblr' which is where the clock photo above came from. The page makes me say over and over again - why can I not take photos like that. One day One day ...

Apologies for the lack of attribution to the unknown photographer - but your photo kind of sums up my day ...

From a rather draughty rock in the aegean ...

  1. Thanks for another thought provoking entry on your wonderful blog! I must now refrain from surfing the net and use my time more efficiently today! ... Yesterday I made butternut squash and red pepper soup .... Today's creation could be some baking
