Its been a wet one ...

Heavy rain from a passing thunderstorm at 5am.

On the first night that I have slept well in ages, mother nature wakes me up early. It lasted just forty minutes but was a real good downpour.

Met up with Mr Malcolm (Teach) last night. A great friend over the years, someone who really loves the island. He even brought down a baby saxophone for one of our Greek island friends. True to form our Greek friend has treated him, to some legendary hospitality in return.

We were both a bit tired, but great to see him in his other home Batis, but as yet no barbounia on his table.

This morning the skies were dark again, however we were treated to a beautiful full rainbow over Mt Mitikas. Some rain fell in town but the shower skirted the north of the island, with the odd distant rumble of thunder.

09:45am and its tipping it down, the official phrase is stairods. Perhaps tropical weather without the heat. It's cooler, I even have a sweatshirt on but still in shorts.

At least teach can enjoy his lie in ...

11:45am The weather appears to have cleared through. The skies have lifted, and the sun is trying it's best to break through the wall of grey ...

13:45pm The sun bursts through the last of the remaining clouds. Blue skies all around, a warm humid afternoon in prospect ...
