Sunday morning ...

Church bells ringing from 06:15am ...

Pappa Yorgos using slow methodical tugs of the bell ropes to call everyone to Tries Hieraches. Later a bit more into the swing as the bells had speeded up. When I passed by standing room only, and a heady waft of incense in the square as I walked by.

Its another breezy one today, it started last night around 11pm. A draught down the harbour, every few minutes. This morning a steady breeze that is cracking the flags. Looking at 31 degrees here today and a breeze. Might have to slip off to the beach and drink lots of water, to avoid cramp.

However the weather widget on the R/H side of the page says this ...

... which could not be further from what we are experiencing, or forecast.

Two aircraft in early this morning, Italians looking forward to lunch no doubt. Unlike the ones I met this morning - enjoying cappuccinos and lively banter after a night at the clubs. Me a cappuccino, and crema strofida, and a catch up with replies on the blog.

Sir PG has slipped out of the old harbour, on Lionheart in the last hour, and popped over to Tsougria. He has just as swiftly lost his mooring spot. Presume he is staying out tonight.

Next mission for any kind person heading down here - I need a new chainsaw chain, and a courier for it if they have room in their luggage ...
