Heavy rain woke me, and the almost constant lightning that lit the room. Followed by claps of thunder that rattled the windows. Despite this the rest of the house remained sleeping.
A quick dash around the house, to switch off the electrical supply, and disconnect the internet router. Currently there are delays of up to six weeks for telephone repairs on the island. Many having their routers short terminally, due to power surges down the telephone line.
Opening the front door, to see a wide eyed cat, sitting on the doorstep. Like me watching the torrent down the street. It's eyes saying please do not send me out into that. I closed the door, leaving my feline friend in peace - and the dry shelter shelter of my doorstep.
Another storm went through about 4am. They seem to pass as quickly as they arrive. We have had heavy rain until 9am. Now at 10:30 the skies are grey, the air is cool. Once again someone is doing a roaring trade in PVC pacamacs, for the tourists.

19:45hrs The fuel tanker Apostolis arrives, listing slightly to port, as it reverses to the ferry dock. Yet more petrol arrives arrives for our thirsty island. JETXV only departed at lunchtime ....
