Rain ...

It was tipping it down outside ...

Not what you want to hear on the roof on a June morning, however the skies cleared on schedule at 9am. Not before the dusty rain had covered everything, in a little piece of Sahara sand once again. The sun came out and a fresh breeze from the south, encouraged tourists to come into town.

Its been a lovely day, however since 1pm the clouds have started to build again ...

By 14:00 the skies over Evia had darkened, the clouds could be seen rising ominously over the land. Here the dark clouds started to creep over the hills. One clearly depositing rain over Kastro and the north of the island.

In town its become humid, one cloud made a beeline for us and rewarded us with two cracks of thunder and some sheet lightning. Strangely it does not seem to have deposited much rain, Yet many took the opportunity to run for the bus.

Looks like one of those days, the rainmaker is in town ...

Later: What a difference a few hours makes. A sunny evening and the air had cleared again. Its not often that you can probably see all the cloud formations in a day, but we ticked most of them off the list this afternoon.

Tonight: Stig arrived with a gift, for Skiathian. Something matured in oak, wrapped in the fruits of his forest, and a bag from SPAR depicting the pine tree - Roll on autumn ...
