Holy Saturday ...

On Holy Saturday evening, the Resurrection mass takes place. Everybody goes to church, each carrying an unlit candle. At midnight, the priest announces the resurrection of Christ (Christos Anesti).

The Holy Light (Agio Fos) is then distributed by the priest to everyone.

Once the Priest has called out "Christos Anesti," everyone exchanges the same, saying "Christos Anesti" and, in response, "Alithos Anesti" (truly, He is risen) or "Alithos o Kyrios" (true is the Lord).

After a Tsipouro lunch this afternoon at Taverna Batis, a well earned power nap is due after 35 hours up, and about.  A little rest required before the big night tonight ...
