Water Water everywhere ...

After last nights rain, we have nice red pools of sahara dust ...

Just the kind of thing the ladies of Skiathos like to wash off balconies, and doorsteps into the street. Nature has been topping up the reserves, both of sahara dust and water, on and off all day. It was raining hard until around 4pm. One torrent in the street has now been replaced by another, as hoses and buckets get to work, up the hill ...

I have been chasing a water leak elsewhere, one of those that appear from time to time and frustrate all attempts to locate the source. Hopefully the plumber will track the beast down, before it can do damage to the structure.

One minute its dry, next there is a puddle, it creeps up when you are not looking, or when you turn your back. The beast is hiding behind a freshly painted ceiling and somewhat wobbly plaster. This one makes me nervous ...

Why does it always miss the buckets that you leave below, to catch the offending drip from above ?

Todays top question from a Greek friend - What are you doing ?

I am wearing a fleece covered in paint spots, carrying a paint pot and brush. Is this really the nation that built the Acropolis? and gave us all those words with a Greek origin ...
