Rumbles from Mother Earth ...

Normaly I report whats going on above ...

OK its grey cool and rather breezy. But at the moment we are all wondering whats going on under our rock in the aegean. Last nights 3.7 tremor made a few people sit up in bed, and watch the lampshades sway.

On Sunday there was a distinct side to side movement twice. Last nights tremor was quite an interesting one, made me get up quick. I think the bang/boom must have been what woke me, as I experienced the shaking motion sitting upright.

To describe it is like a washing machine when its not loaded correctly, and try's to spin. A bang then a vibration that goes through the house.

These are the recorded events of the last few days, from the National Observatory of Athens, Geodynamic Institute Athens, Greece

Reports of another rumble, up in the hills earlier this morning at 6:28am, that has not made the record logs so far today ...

To put it into perspective once it gets to a 5.0 then the Greek people start to take notice. However there was an earthquake affecting the islands in 1965. You can read about it here ...
