Still warm ...

... and a quick shower too.

The heat triggered some convectional rain this evening. The briefest of rain showers that was just enough to send the waiters running for cover, and to clear the freshly laid tables at Marias.

The sky darkened as a thunder cloud grew over the mainland, the first real clouds we have seen for two weeks. There was a cooling of the air, and the edge of the cloud gave us a shower. However the breeze has gone round to the south and has freshened, so we are hopeful for fine weather again as we have a starry night.

Tomorrow we are off round the rock, with the last boat trip of the season.

It should be a great day, hopefully a wet one (Beverage wise) and a last chance to swim at Lalaria. Lunch at Kati Yiorgis, where we plan to view the island through the bottom of a wine glass. Hopefully no wasps as we plan to go to Arkos  on the way back.  Sadly again, I will miss out on Kastro ...

I will need some tsipouro to anaesthtise my ankle, which is still protesting, after a twist some days ago. OK eleven days  ago - Someone who knows about these things suggests an x-ray. I will follow the Greek method of treatment. Apply tsipouro to the injury, as a rub in ointment, and apply internally as a pain killer ...

Our team at the medical centre are busy enough, and Kastro can wait another year ...

  1. Very unconventional treatment , but no doubt an enjoyable one! The winter ahead will inevitably bring many more opportunities for remedial tsipouro!! Enjoy your last boat trip!
