Where have they gone ...

The tourists seem to have disappeared ...

Well just the Greeks and most of the Italians. Just the Brits Dutch and Scandinavians, are still here in numbers, the Finns finish next week. The ferries about to start their winter timetable on Monday, even though its the first month of autumn.

The paralia is strangely quiet, the boats are here, the yachts too, but the people have been spirited away this week.

Even Stathis was asleep in his carriage the horse dozing on its feet, waiting for custom ...

Plane spotting is the order of the day on a Friday, Still 14 flights today, same as every Friday, however now the Brits stand out from the crowd again, now that September is here. The last flight in at 18.45, the Thomson from Gatwick, soaring into the sky again an hour later, then it went quiet again ...

You cannot get a seat on a UK flight here for another two weeks - Fully booked. Same if you want to leave on the 5th October ...

Lets hope the weather holds up as the island shutters start to go down. Storms 60 miles to the north last night. An Indian summer in October, just for all those who worked so hard here this summer ...
