Winter warmth ...

After a cold day, and braving the blizzards - what to do ...

Take two large Greek sausages (Somewhat like herbed frankfurters) chopped up and fried. Then add an onion, two red peppers - halved and sliced, a can of chopped tomatoes, and 1.5 litres of bouillion. Reduce the mixture down until it becomes a sticky consistency. Set aside, and leave to cool.

Reheat when required and serve with mashed potatoes, or over a jacket potato with fresh broccoli.

Then take the logs that are too big for the woodburner, and add to the fireplace. Enjoy your supper in the warmth provided with scented olive wood.

Later when the logs have been reduced to a nice glow, enjoy the firelight with a glass of red wine, or a Metaxa 5* if you are lucky to have a bottle to hand ...
