In the kitchen tonight ...

Pan roasted Chicken breast, stuffed with prunes.
This had been poached, and the prunes had been marinaded in Metaxa 3*

Poached pears a' la Propogos kokkino

The poaching stock, which was aided by a couple of cloves and a cinnamon stick - with a touch of sugar, made a lovely post dinner digestif treat to keep out the cold.

Better feed the mighty woodburner, or will need to make some more ...
