Anemos ...

Strong winds continue to disrupt the port ...

Once again sailings are cancelled and boat trips are at a standstill. The Express Skiathos continues however, with an almighty grinding noise, that echoes across the port, as the anchors are deployed to hold the ferry steady.

The winds are from the North east, and there seems no change for the next few days ahead.  The promise of rain later this week, does little to raise the spirits of the ever decreasing numbers of tourists.

Today the Dutch and Finns departed, their summer at an end. The Thomsons from Gatwick and Manchester bringing new arrivals to a breezy island, with apparent stormy skies ...
