The rain in Skiathos ...

Started at around midnight ...

Its hammering it down to the background roll, of a distant thunder accompaniment. Water is running down the street, and swiftly down our newly cleaned storm drain.

It had been rather humid earlier this evening and it looks like the weather has broken - literally with a bang. For some bizarre reason i cannot sleep either, and am amusing myself reading Captains blog ...

I have also learned, that Leonard Nimoy, who everyone knows as Spock, the pointy eared alien in Star Trek has an interesting turn of events in his life.

'His family migrated to the US as immigrants, or aliens, and became citizens. He was born in Boston, a citizen, went to Hollywood and became an alien'

Back to reading about strange antenae - which as a child i thought were usually found on aliens heads

Your weather correspondent, on a storm lashed rock somewhere in the Aegean ...

1oam (Update)

Its still raining, some very damp and unhappy tourists in the square. It pays to pack at least one pair of long trousers and an umbrella wherever you go in the world ...
