The tourist boats are moving into position on the old harbour, and the water taxis are ready. This morning the Calypso left for its first round the island trip. To be honest there can not be a better day to be out on a boat, especially with a glass of something chilled to hand.
I was feeling pretty chilled enjoyng my cappuchino and taking in the view. Sitting on a white chair, looking out to sea behind scented geraniums.
Junior however was feeling rather grumpy and refusing to wear shoes, which meant we could not go for a walk, This made more angst, and so the downward spiral continued.
Perhaps now looking back, meant No shoes = Paddle, but as we could not get there - the beach being my destination of choice, our plans were curtailed.
I spoke to a few people i knew, majority were working and a tad grumpy. Its a lovely day I said, but the replies were mainly about the forecast which again is poor.
So on an afternoon when we should be enjoying fun in the sun, we are now back at base. Not quite what i had in mind at all ...
Someone just poured a load of asvesti down the storm drain, Naturally he managed to miss the grilles, so we have a nice white mess outside. Maybe we should do the same outside his taverna ...
