Monday Feb 14th ...

Something strange going on around town ...

Greek men, unshaven, usual attire, are wandering around with bunches of roses.
Is it their morning watery Tsipouro eyes, or a touch of emotion i see before me ...

Its the name day of Valentinos (male) or Valentina (female) celebrate their name day on February 14

We call it Saint Valentine's day ...

"Saint Valentine (in Latin, Valentinus) is the name of several (14 in all) martyred saints of ancient Rome. The name "Valentine", derived from valens (worthy, strong, powerful), Of the Saint Valentine whose feast is on February 14, nothing is known except his name and that he was buried at the Via Flaminia north of Rome on February 14"

So tell me, did poor Valentine have anything to do with Cards, Chocolate, or Roses ?
